Let us set the scene for what is going to happen in 2012. We may debunk some theories and hopefully provide you with some knowledge so that you are aware of what your role is in preparation for 2012.
First and foremost however, in the words made famous by the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, “Don’t Panic!” (I will tell you if this is necessary).

(Robert Burton 1577-1640 Mathematician and Astrologer who also predicted his own death).
There has been a lot of scaremongering to do with 2012 i.e. there are certain ancient calendars which end on December 21st 2012 and whoops…… horror……. it’s the End of the World!!! This is not, I promise you, going to occur.
So what is all the hype about? You will soon be much better informed as we deal with the relevance of our roles in the preparation for 2012. Why should 2012 be looming so large? It’s partly because the Age of Aquarius officially begins on Dec 21st 2012.
This means that the axis of the earth will be on the edge of the constellation Aquarius for the first time for 12,920 years and the earth will then be moving towards the centre of the Galaxy i.e. the Galactic Centre instead of moving away from it.
(The Galactic Center is the rotational center of the Milky Way galaxy. It is located about 24,800 Light Years away from the Earth, in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius, where the Milky Way appears brightest. There is a suspected super-massive black hole at this point.)
For the next 2,160 years the axis of the earth will be moving through the constellation of Aquarius. This fact is measurable and indisputable.
There will also be a rare alignment within the solar system, of our Sun and the Earth will be in alignment with the centre of the Galaxy. This will not happen again for 26,000 years.
So what will living through this predetermined phase bring to us? That will be defined by combining our own individual consciousness with these planetary alignments.
Many people will exhibit a healthy degree of scepticism when it considering analyses based on Astrological precepts but I would say that you do not have to believe in something in order for it to affect you. For example, the vast majority of those involved with the massacre and suffering at Hiroshima and Nagasaki knew little about the splitting of the atom, but they did experience that which followed as a result.
In Babylonia, Assyria and Egypt, 6,200 years ago, astrology was used to guide the King as it was understood that he was a titular head of a community and that he mattered. It was necessary for someone to unify their community; in other words, he exemplified caring. He pulled together information and was guided by the esoteric knowledge of his advisors to care for public welfare it was not until Alexander the Great occupied Egypt in 332BC that the individual astrological charts began to appear and this heralded the beginning of the reign of the Ego!
It is appropriate that we are here in London, close to the Greenwich Meridian, a great circle that divides the Earth into the Eastern and Western Hemispheres as I am talking about our Western astrology- of course, there are many other systems which also are relevant.
The Greenwich Observatory was founded in 1675 and its horoscope cast, with the quote “Risum Teneatis Amici” (Can you help but laugh my friends?) by the soon to be Astronomer Royal, John Flamsteed. This was intended to underscore a rift between the Astronomers and Astrologers that was raging at the time. There is still conflict between the two schools. One of our greatest scientists, Sir Isaac Newton was however a committed astrologer – it was his first love.
We base our astrology on the Sun and the Moon it is indisputable that this star and this planet affect us in very real and measurable terms as without the Sun, life on earth would cease.
This star generates solar flares which affect our health, our satellite communications systems and even the Earth’s magnetic field. So in basic terms, the Sun is our vital essence; in astrological terms, the Sun is deemed to be masculine and the Moon feminine.
The Moon governs the tides and fertility patterns; most interestingly there is a direct correlation between the phases of the moon, human emotions and behaviour. These effects can be measured by police crime statistics.
There are of course, other planets and I merely use the best known aspects here to illustrate my point. It therefore follows that if these two bodies are so directly implicated in the patterns of our lives then the effects of other planetary bodies can also be delineated.
In order that we may correctly orientate ourselves, I would ask you when I am talking about the effects of the planets, to take yourself back to the beginning of this week. How were you feeling on Monday, and the previous week? Did you experience a sense of panic, fear, or sense a certain imbalance of power? For example, might you have felt someone draining your energy, or did you feel the need to establish your own?
Over the past few days, Pluto has been conjunct the Galactic Centre. There have been three such conjunctions during the last few years, the first occurring on Dec 29th 2006, the second on July 16th 2007 and the last being Monday October 27th 2008. What effects might arise from this?
Well, Pluto encourages us, is irresistible in fact, and inspires us towards new beginnings when confronted by unfavourable circumstances. We need look no further than the events of the past year relating to the banking and financial services sectors to see the relevance of that! This is all to do with the preparation for the change of consciousness in 2012. It is a step on the staircase which, according to A A Milne, “Is a step which isn’t at the bottom and isn’t at the top”!
Many current astronomers may well have demoted Pluto but no astrologer really worth their salt would, in my opinion, ignore the influence of this inspiring little planet!
Pluto’s influence is also indicated in big business; it rules financial security and directs us towards the analytical. However the converse side of Pluto is not so beneficial, it can cause an unhealthy unconscious mind on a global scale….does that ring any bells? It can encourage sneaky underhand deals that are difficult to detect. Always be aware that when Pluto is in evidence there will be a dirty great rat somewhere near! There can also be an influence on criminal tendencies, with cruelty and sadistic events possible.
The good news is that the possibility of regeneration is very real and the conjunction with the Galactic Centre tells us to take this past week very seriously, especially in our preparation for 2012. In other words, Pluto is inspirational and always offers redemption; nothing is ever lost beyond repair.
In order to understand what this means we need to plot it and record these effects, to feel and correlate the effects with your life. If you can go back to the previous dates and study the patterns which are common (there will definitely be some) and separate here your personal life and national or global issues. There will be issues arising from both sides. Also separate out your personal and spiritual life. I understand they go hand in hand but there will be separate issues which Pluto has affected during this period.
Let’s go even further back, in fact to 1937/39 when Pluto entered Leo. This presaged the Second World War an event that really changed the World order. We are now required to change and not by the means of a war. However, the intensity and drive is equal but this time it is the survival and evolution of our species and planet that is now the issue.
How can I help you to understand this? Let me move into the tools that astrologers use. I find that the Sabian symbols are very useful here. The symbol for the Moon on Dec 21st 2012 will be at 8 degrees Aries at midnight. The image which applies to this is a large woman’s hat with streamers blown by an East wind. The keynote here is protection and spiritual guidance and this is why we are here tonight so that you can understand what protection you need by 2012 and have provided your own spiritual guidance in the development of your consciousness in the guise of guides and processes. Here we have a woman’s head covered: it is a protection against the forces of nature that is, the cold, the wind, the rain and the sun. In fact, symbolically elemental forces. Protection against too much openness, to energies and spirituality. Too much exposure to these energies will lead to suffering. The East wind is strong, spiritualising, creative and transforming. The streamers show the speed and direction of the wind; it is measurement, a period of guided development in effect, a woman being influenced by spiritual forces and being given the luxury of protection with the experience of sensitivity in that her sensitivity needs to be protected.
The whole world’s community needs protection as we are in an extremely vulnerable position at the moment.
The situation is further compounded by the influence of the small but exceedingly dense planet located at the outer reaches of the Solar System. We referred to it earlier, it is none other than Pluto and it represents a cycle of death, destruction and rebirth. Pluto is powerful and direct; it is in fact unavoidable. It requires change and transformation. To achieve this we need to face, trust and engage with it. We also have to accept that radical evolution is inevitable and we might just as well buy into it now rather than resist it only to be forced into it at a later date. To resist it is to risk a catastrophe.
Pluto was discovered at the time the atom was split and the atomic bomb was developed. It rules the related characteristics in other words “Evolution is us”!
So why have I given Pluto so much emphasis in our discussion of 2012? I do have good reasons; the first being that Pluto rules beginnings and endings of the phases of life and the date Dec 21st 2012 is just that. The ending of one phase of consciousness and the beginning of another, therefore Pluto’s influence is indicated here.
I would like us to move forward on the path of safe and secure evolution. Pluto was in Leo 1937/38 and relates to issues such as those that have been coming up since just before the beginning of WW II. The importance of children, the heart, of recreation or even re-creation of self. Power and tension in relation to children and childhood and the need to avoid risks with children. This has been in the news a great deal recently. Intense and heavy love affairs and their effect on society.
Pluto in Leo marked the beginning of an evolutionary change that is still affecting us today and awakening us to what 2012 will bring. The excuse of superficiality no longer holds any credence and we need to move away from it and into the depths of ourselves. I would therefore advise that we work towards developing an understanding of what is required of us and to give to Society what Society needs, both on a global as well as on a personal level.
The consideration of 2012 would not be complete without some reference to the Roman Catholic Church which ushered in the patriarchal and dictatorial institution in the name of religion. It denied both women from the priesthood and the feminine. Astrology was however much favoured by the Catholic Church; it was in fact the Protestant Luther who disapproved.
Queen Elizabeth 1st did however make the most of her opportunities in engaging the services of her astrologer John Dee.
We are now, with the evolution of this age, changing the emphasis and moving back to the concentration of the feminine, which was in the ascendant in the original “Golden Age” at the dawn of time. In Drunvalo Melchizedek’s book “Serpent of the Light” he details how the Earth’s kundalini has moved from the Himalayas to the Andes and how this will manifest in changes following 2012. The emphasis has changed, as a result, from masculine to feminine.
The shift of the Earth’s kundalini has in fact happened already in 2002. The ten years between 2002 and 2012 can be considered a perfect piece of timing for preparation. The Earth’s kundalini is in place and ready for action in the Andes now, having moved from the Himalayas where it had resided following the destruction of Atlantis by a meteorite. It was taken by the inner council of the people who lived in Atlantis to the Himalayas. The outer council of the people of Atlantis then migrated to what is now known as New Mexico and hence became known as the Maya. Perhaps we are now beginning to see a link between our western astrology which talks about important happenings and the Mayan astrology which points to 2011, (2012, 2013, whichever version you may read) as being the point of change and that the moving of the Earth’s kundalini is a very important part of this change. It indicates the Maya as being a guiding force upon the Earth. If the timing seems to be out and perhaps somewhat bizarre on occasions what is missing is our ability to interpret. Everything is always as it should be; perfect but we are required to grow and to understand the teachings which are there for us. So, the Earth’s kundalini has moved….but what is kundalini?
It is essentially an energy stream. People confuse kundalini with the energy that we experience rising up the spine at the time of orgasm. Our individual physical electromagnetic field is exactly identical with that of the Earth in nature in effect and therefore it follows that the Earth possesses kundalini. About 13,000 years ago, when the axis of the Earth began to point away from the Galactic Centre, the Earth’s North Pole moved from the Hudson’s Bay area of Canada to it present location. Some sages postulate that the poles will shift again in 2012. There is a case for this in that 13,000 years before that the axis of the Earth also dramatically shifted. About 2,000 years ago the Earth’s magnetic field began to weaken, about 500 years ago it weakened further and 35-40 years ago scientists noted that magnetic fields began to be disrupted and that migrating birds were experiencing difficulties with navigation. In 1997 the magnetic field became so unstable and there were so many deviations from true North that airport magnetic maps had to be changed. The veracity of this can be checked. In 2005 Geoscientists began to talk about this and suggested that we may be due for a complete reversal of the Earth’s magnetic poles at any time!
The Earth’s kundalini was originally located in Atlantis but about 16,000 years ago it is postulated that an asteroid struck the Earth and was responsible for the destruction of this great civilisation.
Atlantis was a great spiritual centre and when the kundalini was relocated it founded a great spiritual community in Tibet. When Atlantis fell, the outer priesthood, (not the inner Nakkals) of what is now the Yucatán in Mexico moved and became the Maya.
They possessed an advanced knowledge of the happenings which would occur to us down the centuries. These are described on an ancient stone contained in the British Museum which has been authenticated.
The Nakkals arrived in Tibet and began the construction of a great white pyramid and this is where the kundalini resided until 2002 when it was successfully moved and relocated to the Andes.
The reason for this relocation is subject to discussion and speculation….the jury is still out but I have a feeling that bearing in mind the indications arrived at by the Astrology, we may be in for some difficult times ahead, but don’t panic…..at least not just yet.
